Philosophy of Breeding

My personal philosophy of breeding is to have healthy, intelligent and long-living dogs.
Therefore we have spent a lot of time looking for the ideal breeding partner for our dogs.
Health of the parent animals is our first priority. All our dogs are checked for HD (hip dysplasia) and ED (elbow dysplasia) as well as they have their eyes checked for PRA (progressive retina atrophy) every year. I do attach special importance to a perfect character of the parent animals and their ancestors.

It took me nearly endless time to choose my female dogs. Also health, intelligence and character of their parents have been of great importance to me. It means a lot to me to preserve the Aussie in his original form and to emphasize his good features. I do not want to only multiply, but to preserve this breed with all the good characteristics.

Puppies/Rearing:

Our puppies are born in our kitchen-living room and there they spend the first three to four weeks of their life. During this time they get used to everyday’s noises like a ringing phone, vacuum cleaner, etc. Later on they need more room and move into our heated dog house with covered dogruns. They get well socialised and formed. When going on trips we take the puppies with us so they get used to travel by car.

When we hand out our puppies (together with an informative puppy folder), they have been dewormed regularly, they are vaccinated, eye checked and chipped.
